1) Assistant Loco Pilot:-

Assistant Loco Pilot (ALP) is a railway job position in India. The main role of an ALP is to assist the Loco Pilot in the operation and management of a train. The Loco Pilot is responsible for driving the train.

Minimum Educational Qualification: 

10 + ITI from Recognized institutions of NCVT/SCVT in the trades of Armature and Coil
Winder/ Electrician/ Electronics Mechanic/ Fitter/Heal Engine/ instrument Mechanic/
Machinist/Mechanic Diesel/ Mechanic Motor Vehicle/ Millwright Maintenance. Tractor
Tumer/Wireman Mechanic/Mechanic Radio & TV/Refrigeration and Air conditioning
Mechanic/ Mechanic.
OR
3 years Diploma in Mechanical/Electrical/Electronics/Automobile Engineering.

AGE LIMIT :-
General candidates can be up to 42 years old, SC/ST candidates can be up to 47 years old,
and OBC candidates can be up to 45 years old.

Job Description:

1.  To assist the Loco Pilot in the operation and management of a train.
2. To monitor the train’s speed and signals, operating the train’s equipment and controls, and communicating with the train’s crew and passengers.
3.  To checks safety and maintaining the train’s cleanliness.
4. Communicating with station managers and other railway personnel to ensure a smooth flow of train operations.
5. Keeping accurate records and logs of train operations, maintenance activities, and other relevant information.

2)Trains Manager (Goods Guard) :

Goods Guard can be found on every train, either in the braking van or in the compartment attached to the train’s tail, which also serves as his workstation. The safe transport of the cargo on the train is guaranteed by the goods guard. if you want to join railways  then this is the very good starting position for you.

Minimum Educational Qualification: 

Degree in any discipline from the university which is recognized or it is equivalent.

AGE LIMIT :-

Job Description:

1. To conduct regular checks on the entire train in order to ensure any loose ends to ensure that train is running properly on its track.
2. To get the Vehicle Guidance, (VG) which is a written document including the information about the number of wagons, load tonnage of individual wagons, their tare weight and other information.
3. To ensure that the breaks of the train is working properly for loco pilot and its smoothness.
4. To prepare various train reports.
5. To identify the train is working properly and its minor problems when train is moving.
6. Works with the Station Master and communicates information about the arrival and departure of trains.

Selection Process:

Candidates will go through several stages to be selected for the advertised posts:

1. Computer Based Test (CBT): This test will be the first step for all applicants. It will
   assess your knowledge in subjects like General Awareness, Arithmetic, and General
   Intelligence & Reasoning. The test will have multiple-choice questions in English and Hindi. You’ll have 90 minutes to answer 100 questions. Remember, there’s apenalty for wrong answers.
2. Aptitude Test (if applicable): Employees under GDCE may need to pass an aptitude test.
3. Document Verification and Medical Examination: Shortlisted candidates will havetheir documents verified.
4. GDCE Quota: A specific number of vacancies are reserved for employees under theGeneral Departmental Competitive Examination (GDCE). The CBT for thesevacancies will be at the same level as the RRB examination for open market candidates.
5. CBT Conduct: RRC/GRC will conduct the CBT, and they will notify you of the examdate via SMS, email, and their website.
6. Eligibility Percentage: You need to score a minimum percentage in the CBT to beeligible: UR-40%, OBC(Non-creamy layer)-30%, SC-30%, & ST-25%.
7. Assistant Loco Pilot Post: For this post, candidates will also undergo an AptitudeTest through online mode (CBAT).
8. Instructions: Pay close attention to the instructions during the exam. Not followingthem could lead to disqualification.
9. Remember, there won’t be any additional exams if you miss the CBT or Aptitude Test for any reason.

4. You’ll then see a dashboard where you can enter your personal details.
5. Fill in your personal details and click “Save & Continue”.
